This Privacy Policy describes how Dream Interpretation & Journal (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier you choose to share (and optionally your name and email). If you continue as a guest, we create a local anonymous account and do not collect contact details.

Dream content. When you submit a dream for interpretation, we collect the exact text you enter in the dream field. This text is sent when you tap “Analyze” and is used solely to generate your interpretation. We may store your dream text and the resulting interpretation in your Dream Journal so you can view them later.

Usage and tokens. We store your token balance and usage (e.g. interpretations used, rewards claimed) to provide the service and restore purchases.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide dream interpretations, maintain your journal, manage tokens and purchases, and improve the app. To generate interpretations, we send your dream text to our service provider (see Section 3). We do not sell your personal information or dream content to third parties.

3. AI and Processing / Third-Party AI Service

What data we send. When you request a dream interpretation, the only data we send for that purpose is the dream text you have entered in the app.

Who we send it to. Dream interpretations are powered by Anthropic (Claude). Your dream text is sent first to our servers and then to Anthropic solely to generate your interpretation. We do not use your dream content to train general-purpose models or for marketing.

Third-party protection. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy and applicable law. We require that they use your dream text only to provide the interpretation and do not use it to train their general models or for other purposes. We do not retain your dream text on Anthropic’s systems beyond what is necessary to return the response to you.

4. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

5. Children

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
